About the Developers of this Website
This Ibibio Dictionary is the brain child of Emem Akpan and Itoro Akpan-Iquot.
Our Vision
- To have an online resource for the Ibibio language for posterity.
- To educate the Ibibio diaspora in particular and the Ibibio in general about the Ibibio language.
- To make the Ibibio proud of their language and heritage.
- To create a community of people, via continuous feedback/contribution, dedicated to ensuring that the Ibibio language doesn't become extinct beyond the shores of Akwa Ibom State.
- To encourage constructive debate among the Ibibio regarding the future of the Ibibio language in the diaspora.
